Well, Brent and I are finally back from Houston, so we spent yesterday hanging out with Z. We had a good time. We went to lunch at Cholita's, which is where Sarah works. Zach kept telling her that his sprite was "delicious", and he also claimed to have made one of the scarves that hangs on their wall for decoration. He just looked up and pointed, and said "I made that." Personally, I think he is taking after his daddy in the tall tale department. Another funny yesterday was when I told him to count the towers he saw (there were 3). He said carefully, "1, 2, 6. 5 towers!" Hopefully those counting skills will come! And last week, he told Laura that his daddy practices for World's Strongest Man in our backyard. He definitely has a vivid imagination, but the only name he will suggest for the baby is Guy.

While we were gone, he stayed with Laura, Martin, and the girls, and had a good time. He did tell Laura that daddy was gone working for a long time so that he could buy baseball tickets! Brent, of course, is super excited that Zach wants to go to baseball games and is eagerly awaiting the start of Shocker baseball. On Saturday, Martin, Laura, and Zach went to the Darryl Starbird car show, and he had a great time. He loved all the wheels on everything, and told us all about it on the phone with lots of vrooom vrooom noises. He did not have a great deal of interest in the bikini team.

We have made some progress on potty training, and will hopefully make more. Last night he said good bye to his pee while the toilet was flushing.

It's been a big week for the little guy! He had his first sllep over the other night at Sarah's apartment. She is Laura's oldest daughter, and it was his first time spending the night somewhere besides Bubba and Grandma Peg's or Laura's without mom and dad. He apparently did well, but last night he was a major grouch at home! We had Peter and Kelly over for dinner, and he did not settle down and act nice until about 8:30. He finally curled up beside them on the couch with his soft blankets. Gotta have those!

He was in much better spirits this morning, thank goodness. We are taking him to see his first movie at the theater on Sunday--we are going to the new Veggie Tales with a bunch of people from church, so it should be fun.

Other developments: he won't wear plastic pants anymore because they make his legs "bitch" (that's itch to the rest of us). LOL. There is never a dull moment with him. Brent and I are hoping that the loss of the plastic pants will speed up the potty training, but we are also not holding our breath. He did do really well last night, so we can dream. He has also started playing with Brent's PSP, which does lead to some arguments between him and daddy, but other than that, all is good at our house.
Ohhh--one more thing! They moved up my due date so Chip is set to join us on April 5! Yay for that! :)
